I got to meet a new niece a few days ago (well, my nephew's daughter, whatever that makes the relationship).  She's only a year and a half or so, but I was introduced  as Leann and referred to as Aunt Leann- pretty cool!  My sister also used all the correct pronouns, and referred to me as her sister as well.  Big kudos for her!!  It was great to see them, and another little nephew of mine as well.  My family is being very supportive, and while they may feel awkward using the new name, they are trying to adjust.  I can't say enough good things about them.  They don't make me feel out of place, and we don't talk much about the transistion process.  We just talk about the same things we've always had.

Speaking of names, I filed to have my name legally changed to 'Leann'.  I know I said I'd go by Lena Ann officially, but I got to thinking that if I want to sign things as Leann and want to have cards & things put in that name, it will be easier to just use Leann.  I still very much consider that my name is Lena Ann, and I go by Leann, even though it might not officially be that.   I'll still respond to both :)
