Ok, I got my ears pierced yesterday, and it didn't hurt too bad.  I'd have not thought about it, except a friend emailed me that it does hurt, and I read that like 20 minutes before I got there, so I'm all worried.  Ok, she said it hurt, but just for a moment and it's not bad, but I quit reading after 'it does hurt'.  LoL  Anyway, they look nice :)

I got a chance to talk to most of the ladies at work to let them know about my switch Monday.  There will be a firm email going out about it on Monday while I'm at my hearing, but they want to kind of make it low profile, so that we don't make it any bigger deal than it needs to be.  But I felt compelled to talk to the women who were there today, as about all of them have come to me offering support, encouragement, and advice, so I wanted the opportunity to talk to them and let them know it was coming up.  That felt good going around and talking to everyone.

So now I've gone away for the weekend with my son to play games at GenCon in Indianapollis.  I've registered as 'Leann' and presenting appropriately and so far, it seems I'm being considered female.  Visited a few women's rooms on the way out with no problem.  I'm having trouble concentrating on my voice, but I do feel some pressure to make sure I keep it up, because I don't really want to alert anyone that somethings different about me.  But I am looking forward to playing games all weekend and it's nice to just be me and no more switching in & out of roles anymore!!!  Yay!
