I've scheduled surgery for January 8th back in Thailand with Dr. Chettawut.  After taking pictures periodically to monitor my healing progress, we've decided it would be best for him to address some granulation of tissue, as well as a couple other cosmetic issues.  Fortunately his work is guaranteed for life, and the only costs will be the flight out there, the hotel stay and food.  I found a great price (just over $1000) for round trip tickets, and the hotel is only $30/night and food is generally cheaper there.  Considering using a locally based doctor would start off at $4,500 for labiaplasty, and I really don't think any local surgeon is qualified to do this specific work.  Certainly not compared to my original doctor who does this all the time.

But I do have a friend coming along with me, and that will make the trip alot more fun!  I do have at least one sight seeing trip I plan to take, and of course, more shopping.  I plan on taking a nearly empty suitcase, and filling it once I get there :)

Until then, I'm not supposed to do anything to aggravte the tissue.  So no excecise or swimming.  I'm also going to cut back on my dilation schedule.  I don't suppose my recent move to a downtown apartment helped the condition at all.  At least I'm done with that now.

Oh well, mixed feelings about this.  I am very concerned about things when they deviate from the expected.  I can go through surgeries as long as I know what's going on and how I'm healing.  This is something that I can't really predict what will happen, and that's a cause for concern.  However, I do have to trust in my surgeon, and have a little faith.
