I got  my paperwork in for my name change so I made sure to get out and get my new driver's license!  I'm all set with that, and need to get my SSN changed and all my accounts etc....  At least when asked for ID I won't have to be embarrassed to reveal my name & old look which shows that I'm a guy.  The license still says 'M' instead of 'F' but most people won't bother to look at that.  Yeah!  I'm really happy about it.

Since it's just a driver's license picture, and those only look so good anyway, I decided to post it on the site side by side with my previous photo from 4 years ago.  You can still tell it's me easy enough, but it's changing.  I can't wait to get it redone after my FFS.

This has been a great week at work, and I had a lot of support in just being Leann here at work.  I answer the phone with 'this is Leann, can I help you' and then get to explain to the caller who's looking for Neal, that it's still me, but I've had a name change.  You know what?  The conversation doesn't drop a beat and we go right on into whatever the business is.  Ok, I wonder what they think when they get off the phone.  I do use my female voice as well as I can, so it helps make it seem right to them.

A couple women here at work decided they'd have their eyebrows waxed this week as well.  I guess I've inspired others to make themselves look better too.  I'm flattered that I had that kind of impact on someone.  People never realliy followed my lead before :)

So one week down as Leann and I can't wait for next week!
